Gawler Aquatic Centre

Gawler Aquatic Centre is located on Victoria Terrace, Gawler. With its surrounds of lawns and native trees it is the perfect location for all your swimming needs. Our qualified staff will ensure the time you spend at the Aquatic Centre will be safe and enjoyable. The Gawler Aquatic Swim School was presented with the 2014 SA AUSTSWIM recognised swim Centre of the year award for our caring, dedicated and passionate team.  Our quality program is conducted in outdoor heated pools providing a fresh air atmosphere. We offer private and adult swimming lessons including lessons for people with a disability.

Gawler Sport & Community Centre

The Gawler Sport and Community Centre is located at the Gawler Oval Complex and is bordered by the Para River. The Centre has many sections to offer including the Historic Pavilion, which dates back to the late 1800's and is still used today.  The Centre was redeveloped incorporate a two-court Stadium, Studio and Meeting facility, the Rotary Room and Youth Shak. The centre is also home to the Town Of Gawler Immunisation Service.
The Gawler Oval complex is home to the Gawler Central Sporting Club, Gawler Greyhound Racing Club and the Gawler Show Society. .

Gawler Public Library

The Gawler Public Library is a vibrant part of the Gawler community. It began life as the Gawler Institute which built the building it still resides within. The foundation stone was laid on 13 April, 1870 and the building was completed in April 1871.  Gawler Public Library is part of the SA 'one card' network which is connecting more than 130 public libraries across South Australia to let you borrow and return items wherever you go, using your current library card.  A wide range of services are offered in addition to the book loans traditionally offered by libraries.  There are computers dedicated to public access to the Internet, a home library service for housebound people, non-book materials such as CDs and DVDs, an extensive collection of large print books and books on CD for sight - impaired people. The local history is extensive and well used. There is a photocopier that can scan documents and a laminating service is offered. Regular storytelling and craft sessions are offered to children of all ages and many activities occur during school holidays.

Gawler Visitor Information Centre

The Gawler Visitor Information Centre is located at 2 Lyndoch Road, Gawler and attracts approximately 2,500 visitors per month. It's ideally located within the township with handy parking adjacent to the building and right next door to the lovely Pioneer Park.  We provide information on things to do, places to stay, local history and more to ensure you enjoy your time in Gawler to the fullest - either as a resident or visitor. We can assist with accommodation and tour bookings throughout the State.  The purchase of Greyhound, Premier Stateliner and Yorke Peninsula passenger tickets can be made along with freight services within the State.  We can even assist with your holiday within our State including Kangaroo Island!

Elderly Centre

This facility is home for a large range of community groups including Senior Citizens, Care and Share Group, S.A. Pensioners Association, Low Vision Support Group, Bridge Club, Orchid Club, Revival Fellowship and S.A. Weight Watchers.
The Centre is also hired out to groups for fund raising, one-off meetings, private functions and Council functions. For more information about the Elderly Centre please click the Digital Portals ring symbol at the top right of the page and select Actively Ageing in a Digital World.
